Welcome to P.S. Cafe

January 22, 2010

When I was home in Singapore over the holidays, I lunched at P.S. Cafe, a spot in an area called Dempsey, which is (used to be?) pretty popular. [Sidenote: Isn’t it terrible that I don’t know what’s cool in my hometown anymore?]

Anyway, P.S. Cafe is the type of restaurant I wish we had in New York. It has a charming colonial feel with indoor and outdoor seating, and serves food all day long, also transforming into a bar in the evenings. The food was delicious, but it was really the decor and atmosphere that I really loved. It was simple and unpretentious, like a crisp white cotton shirt or a really good iced tea.

If any of you are in the area, go check it out. It’s a little hard to find, but that just adds to its appeal.
