Yesterday, E and I had a late lunch at one of my favorite neighborhood places, Zampa. Nestled on the edge of the Meatpacking District, it’s a little cafe with the most delicious sandwiches and salads. In the summertime, they have a watermelon lemonade that is truly addictive!
I ordered my usual, a panino with shitake, taleggio, arugula and truffle oil and an iced lemon tea. So simple and so heavenly. The cheese is both sharp and creamy and the arugula adds the bitterness for balance. All in all, a perfect meal and a perfect day.

PS: The photos don’t do the food justice. Need to be more diligent about taking the cam out..
