I like to say that being in luxury was my destiny. Growing up, my father was in the garment business, making shirts for retail giants. My mother worked in high end interior design, then at one of the two auction houses and is now an art consultant. It’s little surprise that I’ve always been enchanted by and appreciated the power and importance of the luxury industries.
Professionally, I have worked in luxury fashion marketing, consulted for Banana Republic and planned luxury conferences. My passion is for understanding and shaping the future of luxury, especially in China and the rest of Asia. Having grown up in Singapore and been educated and worked in the U.S., I believe I am in a unique position to influence the sea change that is upon the luxury industries today.
Luxplorer is my light hearted but thoughtful take on the current state of affairs. It’s meant to remind us that we’re not curing cancer, but through luxury we’re still bringing joy, escape, confidence and humor to the world.
I am currently completing an MBA at NYU Stern and interning in the marketing department at one of the largest luxury fashion houses in the world.
